Hi everyone - since these blog posts bounce to Facebook, this is the only way I have of getting in touch with people.

Thought I’d update everyone on the situation. I’m still unable to regain access to my google account, and have heard nothing from Facebook. I’m hoping the lag is just because the whole thing went down on a Friday afternoon, and there’s been nobody in the relevant offices to get my emails or initiate the relevant procedures. At this point, I’ve given up on Gmail’s account recovery process — their Help pages give extremely unclear information and often are totally nonfunctional. This situation severely challenges my trust in Google.

Offline, life is pretty sweet here in Ollantaytambo. As I said on Friday, everything is fine with me right now in Peru, I have everything I need and could theoretically be without email until I get home. So please don’t worry about me, even though I’m basically incommunicado at this point.

I’ve set up an alternate gmail account, so I can email people, but since I don’t know most people’s email addresses by heart, that’s not good for much. If you are desperate to talk to me, feel free to email me at clarke.sara2 at gmail.  Also, since my dad doesn’t use Facebook, could someone please fill him in and give him the above address if he wants it?

Just so’s you guys know, this is my last week here in Peru! I have today here in Ollantaytambo, tomorrow and Tuesday in Cusco, and then the long slog via bus back to Lima, and finally home on Saturday! Or more realistically, Sunday, since I think I get into JFK at like 4 in the morning. I hope to see many of y’all very soon!
